We’ve used the trail on many occasions. Besides being beautifully maintained, it benefits all in the community; especially the businesses neighboring the trail. A win win situation for all.

Dan, if you really want to know what the land owners along the purposed Ecusta Trail are facing, you should ask Derek to read the letter we received from Conserving Carolina! It states they have a 25ft right a way on each side of the track. That’s 50 ft of our property they are taking, not just the rail line! The rail line only had an easement on our property, they never had a right a way. The letter stated we would have to move buildings, driveways, and even our homes! So yes this is a really big issue for land owners along the rail line!

Hi Carolyne. CC said at the meeting that, though there are some buildings in the corridor, they will not be asking f anyone to move the. Basically grandfathered in.

I live in Chattanooga on the South Chickamauga Creek Greenway trail. The trail is about 150 yards from my house. For me, this trail is the best part of Chattanooga. Chattanooga has some nice sights and tourist attractions, but I use the Greenway Trail more than anything else. It's benefit to my life far surpasses anything else in the city.

We have a house in Hendersonville about 15 mintues from the ecusta train track. I would love to get a house right on the impending trail.
